Confidential is Hiring an Orthodontic Dental Assistant Near Modesto, CA

We are looking to add an experienced orthodontic dental assistant to our AMAZING TEAM. Our office is open Monday through Thursday with no weekend hours. We are looking for someone with a strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills and the ability to work with other members of the dental team and a variety of patients and parents.

Orthodontic Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate records of patients' oral health histories and treatment progress.
  • Ensuring that all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use.
  • Keeping patients’ mouths dry during orthodontic procedures by using a suction hose as needed.
  • Taking intra oral X-rays of patients’ mouths.
  • Taking photographs of patients’ teeth to aid the Orthodontist in developing treatment plans and to document patient progress.
  • Taking dental molds or scans of patients’ teeth for the fabrication of customized mouth guards and retainers.
  • Removing and replacing wires, coil springs, donuts, and elastic bands.
  • Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare.

Orthodontic Dental Assistant Requirements:

  • Certified as an orthodontic assistant by the Dental Assisting National Body (DANB) or Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA).
  • Registered Dental Assistant License preferred
  • CPR certification.
  • Itero Scan experience preferred
  • Proven experience working as an orthodontic dental assistant.
  • Sound knowledge of various orthodontic procedures and practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

Job Status: Full Time

Office Hours: Monday - Thursday

Benefits: CA Paid Sick Days/Accrued Paid Vacation Days/6 Paid Holidays/401K Match

Pay Rate: Depends on Experience

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
